“Hiya Pal!”

Magic Kingdom

Walt Disney World celebrates its 45th birthday this upcoming Saturday, October 1st. There will be special commemorative merchandise available in honor of the celebration. There will be festivities and special treats offered throughout the day as well.

‘The Muppets Present… Great Moments in History’ will make its debut at the Magic Kingdom this Sunday, October 2. Our favorite characters will be taking part in an all-new live show. Sam Eagle, the wildly passionate patriotic eagle, will join Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Gonzo, Fozzie Bear, James Jefferson “J.J.”, town crier of Liberty Square, outside of The Hall of Presidents to tell historical tales in hilarious muppet fashion. The show will feature an original song with plenty of silly Muppets humor and will re-tell the story of Paul Revere’s midnight ride and the signing of the Declaration of Independence. You will have multiple opportunities throughout the day to see the Muppets own unique take on the founders and the birth of the United States of America.

Disney has released a new pre-paid Quick-Service Dining Card for guest staying at the Swan and Dolphin Resorts, The Four Seasons Walt Disney World, and other Good Neighbor hotels surrounding Disney property. For guests who prefer an all-inclusive vacation, purchasing the Dining Plan is a must, so it is great to see it being offered to other resorts and not just limited to the Disney-owned properties. For a limited time now through April guests who purchase the Dining card will receive a discount. Here’s how it works. “For each day of theme park admission, adults in the party will receive $40 and children will receive $15 on their Quick-Service Dine Gift Cards. However, Guests will only be charged $35 per adult/per day and $12.50 per child/per day. For example, a Guest with a 3-day ticket included in their package would receive a $120 Disney Quick-Service Dine Gift Card for only $105. A child with the same ticket would be given a $45 dining gift card for only $37.50. The Quick-Service Dine Gift Cards may be redeemed at select Quick-Service Dining locations, or food carts, in Walt Disney WorldTheme Parks, Water Parks, Disney Springs and Disney Resort hotels. Guests will receive their Disney Quick-Service Dine Gift Cards along with their Theme Park tickets upon check-in at their hotel.
