Disney Springs

Renowned chef Rick Bayless from PBS and The Live Well Network’s host of Mexico: One Plate at A Time opened a new restaurant Frontera Cocina in Town Center on June 29. The menu focuses on Mexican cuisine, and it also features a Grab-n-Go window offering braised pork shoulder or braised beef tacos along with freshly made guacamole, salsa, and margaritas.

Disney Extras

Last week I posted Part Three of Three: Super Essential Tips for Your First Trip to Disney World one of the tips focused on the battery life of your phone, what to expect and how to remedy. Disney realizes this is a major issue and to fix it they have stepped up in a big way. Starting tomorrow July 1 Disney will be opening Fuelrod Kiosks throughout the resort area. For $30 guest can buy a pre-charged portable battery that also comes with a USB charger for Android devices, a USB charger for Apple devices, along with the Apple lightning USB cable. All items are yours to keep. If you choose not to charge the portable battery, and you are near a kiosk when it dies you can swap it out for a fully charged one at no extra cost. The booth locations are as follows:

  • Magic Kingdom
    • Tomorrowland Light and Power Co.
    • Big Top Souvenirs
    • Pecos Bill’s
    • Curtain Call Collectibles
  • Epcot
    • Disney Traders
  • Hollywood Studios
    • Celebrity 5 & 10
  • Animal Kingdom
    • Island Mercantile
  • Disney Springs
    • Marketplace Disney Photo Imaging
    • DisneyQuest
  • ESPN Wide World of Sports
    • ESPN Clubhouse Shop

That’s all for this week’s news update. Hope everyone has a fun and safe Fourth of July weekend!

“See you real soon!”
