Magic Kingdom

The Muppets are coming to the Magic Kingdom this October! They will be taking part in an all-new live show, “The Muppets Present….. Great Moments in American History.” Sam Eagle, the wildly passionate patriotic eagle, will join Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Gonzo, Fozzie Bear, James Jefferson, town crier of Liberty Square, outside of The Hall of Presidents to tell historical tales in hilarious fashion as only the Muppets can do. The show will feature an original song with plenty of silly Muppets humor and will re-tell the story of Paul Revere’s midnight ride and the signing of the Declaration of Independence. You can catch the Muppets own unique take on the founding fathers and the birth of the United States of America multiple times throughout the day.

Disney Cruise Line

The Disney Wonder will be getting an all new Broadway-style show added to their entertainment schedule on November 10, 2016, traveling out of Galveston, Texas. “Frozen, a Musical Spectacular” is a live re-telling adaptation of the beloved film “Frozen.” The new show will feature new renditions of the iconic soundtrack along with vibrant costumes and sets, remarkable special effects and puppetry. Disneyland and Disney’s California Adventure Park

Disney announced earlier this week that they would be discontinuing the special shows for the Diamond Celebration when the party ends on September 5, 2016. The original announcement stated that “Disneyland Forever” Fireworks show and “World of Color— Celebrate” would be replaced on September 6. Two favorite nighttime spectaculars will be returning to fill the void. Disneyland will be showing the classic fireworks show “Fantasy in the Sky”, and California Adventure will be reinstating the original version of “World of Color.” Sadly, it was later quietly announced on DisneylandToday’s ‘ Twitter feed that the “Paint the Night Parade would also be ending on September 5. There hasn’t been an announcement on a nighttime parade replacement. The “Paint the Night Parade” will be sent to another Disney Park, fingers crossed it’s in Florida.

Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon

Disney’s water park Typhoon Lagoon will be getting a new raft ride in Spring of 2017. Miss Fortune Falls is a family style raft attraction taking guest on a white water rafting type adventure. The fabled heroine Captain Mary Oceanear traveled across the sea collecting artifacts before being stranded at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon after a rogue storm many years ago. Guests onboard the treasure rafts will be on the lookout for unique objects collected by Captain Oceanear that she gathered from around the world. Miss Fortune Falls is among one of the longest water rides at both Disney water parks with a ride time of two minutes. Stay tuned for more details as we approach the opening of this new attraction.
