“Hiya Pal!”

One of the most overwhelming steps in planning your trip to Disney World is how to figure out the new FastPass+ system. The FastPass+ system changed in 2014 from printed FastPasses that you get when you arrive at the attraction telling you when to come back to ride to now reserving three FastPasses on the My Disney Experience app or website from your home one to two months before your trip.  If you are staying at a Disney Resort, you can reserve your fast passes 60-days in advance if you have already purchased your tickets. All other guests with a ticket or annual pass already purchased can book FastPasses 30-days in advance. Changes are made to this system often which adds to the confusion as well. Fundamental changes were made to the app spring 2016 that has helped dramatically in making it much easier to book your FastPasses. Below are the FastPass+ options for Magic Kingdom park. Be sure to check out Animal Kingdom, Epcot and Hollywood Studios options as well.

Magic Kingdom

The Magic Kingdom has the most FastPass+ options than any other park offering 28 attractions. There is no tier system in place at this park, so you can book any of the FastPasses offered. The system will let you have one FastPass an hour. Once you have used your advanced FastPasses or the time frame has passed, you can then book a fourth FastPass on your My Disney Experience app for any park later that day. Once the fourth FastPass is used, you can book another and so on if there is availability. There are also Kiosks located throughout the park where you can get an additional FastPass. However, they are not always open and are rumored to be leaving the parks altogether. Your smart phone is your most reliable and easiest option for booking FastPasses while in the parks. However, it is a good idea not to bank on being able to get more than three FastPasses. It is not a guarantee that more will be available.
